A child in the ward has been accused of trying to rape the daughter of a patient at the Chandina Upazila Health Complex in Comilla. The defendant Abul Bashar (35) is the son of the late Abdul Aziz from the village of Kalemsar in Chandina.

Another patient in the same room said: ‘The other day the lights are on in the ward at night. After 11 p.m. Tuesday, the boy with the word came, turned off the lights, and told everyone to go to sleep. When we woke up at night to the sound of screaming, we saw that the boy with words was running away. Then the girl’s mother arrested her from behind.
However, Wardboy Abul Bashar said: ‘I fell asleep at 12 o’clock at night. When I suddenly came out, (the patients and their families) beat me and took my head off. ”
Chandina Police Station OC Shamsuddin Mohammad Elias said a preliminary investigation had found the allegations of sexual harassment to be true. Legal action will be taken if a written complaint is received.
