Retired Major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was shot dead by police at the Shamlapur checkpoint at the Baharchhara union of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar on July 31. All three have been called as witnesses in the homicide case brought by the police in this incident. During the subsequent investigation, the RAB arrested them on August 10 on suspicion of being involved in the incident.
The investigating officer in the case, RAB-15 Deputy Superintendent of Police Khairul Islam, said the statements of the three witnesses were taken from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Three witnesses in the police case were arrested after they testified in court Wednesday about Sinha’s murder.
He said: “All three were presented in court on Tuesday and held in pre-trial detention for four days in the second phase, but they were granted three days. But on the first day of her preventive detention, Sinha admitted important information in the murder case. They were taken to court on Wednesday. I hope you have accepted all the information that the court has provided us. ”
All three were taken to jail the afternoon after the confession.
