Defender Shahnaz Parveen Milli and her husband Mostafizur Rahman have been arrested in Satkhira on charges of attacking, vandalizing and looting the home of a tram driver and defaming a member of the district council’s reserved neighborhood using a photo of her husband. They were sent to jail through court Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, defender Shahnaz Parveen Milli has been ousted from the position of vice president of the Awami League of Women of Satkhira District. He was expelled from the party for being involved in acts of vandalism, looting and anti-organization activities by mercenary terrorists.

Satkhira court police inspector Amal Kumar Roy said the two were sent to jail on Tuesday night.

Expulsion: A press release signed by Defender Farida Akhter Banu, (Acting) President of the Satkhira District Branch of the Mahila Awami League of Bangladesh and Jyotsna Ara, Secretary General, said that Defender Shahnaz Parveen Milli is using the posts of the Mahila Awami League party against terrorist organization and activities in the district. Meanwhile, on Monday night, detectives arrested police defender Shahnaz Parveen Milli and her husband Mostafizur Rahman of New Market in Satkhira. They were examined on Tuesday.
