Zahid was sentenced to death in the murder case of his wife Rahima and their one and a half year old daughter Reshma in the Sadar Union Uttarpara area of Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat.
According to the case brief, the bodies of his wife Rahima and their son were recovered from the home of Zahid’s father-in-law on January 15, 1997.
