The criminals stabbed two people to death in Bakshibazar and Wari of Old Dhaka. Two other injured in separate incidents are in treatment. Police are detaining and questioning some of the suspects in the incidents that occurred last Sunday.

After a preliminary investigation, the police suspect that the attacks took place in a separate procession from Taziya on the road on the occasion of Ashura last Sunday. Local terrorists hiding in the procession carried out these attacks in a tactical manner. However, the police were unable to provide any information on the motive for this attack.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner of the Lalbagh Division, Biplob Vijay Talukder, told Kaler Kanth on Monday that three such incidents occurred between Sunday morning and afternoon. Some of the suspects in these incidents have been detained for questioning. The incident is under investigation.

It was learned that a young man named Nayan (20) was stabbed to death by criminals at the three road junction in Bakshibazar around 1 pm on Sunday. Speaking with Sohan, a friend of the deceased, it emerged that Nayan was working in a motorcycle repair shop in Bangshal Rupali Bank Alley. From there he reached the Bakshibazar intersection and called a rickshaw to go to the BDR section area to buy motorcycle supplies. At that time, a group of at least 20 people made a new procession down the road. Nayan was seriously injured when he came out of a group procession and stabbed her. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with blood and doctors pronounced him dead.

Ilias Hossain, deputy commissioner for the Chawkbazar area, told Kaler Kanth that some clues have been found about Nayan’s murder. You are trying to catch a young man involved in this.

Meanwhile, another similar incident took place in Wari on Sunday. Two brothers Munna (18) and Shaheen (18) were stabbed by unidentified criminals. The two were taken to the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) hospital in critical condition and Munna was pronounced dead by the doctor. Shaheen is in treatment at the hospital in critical condition.

Furthermore, a young man named Bappi (20) was stabbed by a comrade at the corner of Fort Lalbagh on Sunday morning. The injured Bappi is being treated at the hospital. Lalbagh Police Station OC KM Ashraf said several youths were arrested in the incident. Hopefully the mystery of the incident is soon known.
