Pranab Mukherjee was a true friend of Bangladesh: Sufi Mizan

Chittagong: Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, president of PHP Family, the country’s leading industrial group, has expressed deep grief over the death of Pranab Mukherjee, a true friend of Bangladesh, a legendary politician, and former president of India.

In a statement on Monday (August 31), he expressed his deep sorrow over the death of Pranab Mukherjee, a former president of India and a true friend of Bangladesh, a legendary politician from the subcontinent.

He wished Pranab Mukherjee’s late soul peace and expressed his condolences to the members of his grieving family.

Former Indian president and legendary politician Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last on Monday (Aug 31) around 6:15 pm. The veteran congressional leader was admitted to the Army Research and Reference Hospital in Delhi for approximately three weeks. He fell on August 9 and injured his head. He was admitted to the Army Research and Reference Hospital on August 10 due to a neurological problem. The operation was performed on his head the same day. He was already infected with the corona virus.

Pranab Mukherjee is the thirteenth president of India. Before becoming the country’s president in 2012, Pranab Mukherjee served as finance minister on several occasions. He has been finance minister of various governments since 1980.
Loyal and exceptionally wise, this Bengali is respected throughout India. In August last year, he received India’s highest civil honor, the Bharat Ratna.
