A university student met and fell in love with a young man living in Italy on Facebook. He was then called to the hotel to get married and was allegedly raped. The Madaripur Model Police arrested four associates, including the hotel manager, in the incident.

After refusing to marry him, the girl tried to commit suicide by taking sleeping pills. She (a university student) was later admitted to the Sadar District Hospital.
Sadar District (OC) Model Police Officer in Charge said. Kamrul Islam Mia confirmed the incident and said: ‘In this incident, we initially arrested four people, including the hotel manager. A rape case is pending against the defendants Bayezids.‘
