This time the digital desktop: Once again, the Chinese army showed aggression in Ladakh by destroying the situation. However, the Indian army has retaliated. This was stated by the Ministry of Defense on Monday. It is known that on the night of August 29-30, China attempted to provoke the military by violating the status quo in the Pangong So area of eastern Ladakh. However, the Indian retaliation was unsuccessful.

“Indian troops have been able to repel Chinese aggression in the southern part of Lake Pangong.” This was stated in the statement from the Ministry of Defense. Colonel Aman Anand, Indian Army Public Relations Officer, said: “The Indian Army believes in maintaining peace through dialogue. But they will not commit to protecting sovereignty. However, the defense ministry statement did not reveal exactly how the Chinese forces “tried to destabilize the situation.” However, the Indian army public relations officer said that “Indian forces have strengthened their position by being able to resist Chinese aggression.” It was also learned that after this incident, the armies of the two countries met at the level of brigade commander in Chushul.

Last June, clashes broke out between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh. After 45 long years, the army died in the border confrontation between the two countries. At least 20 people, including a colonel, died on the Indian side and 43 on the Chinese side. India claimed that the situation in Ladakh had heated up as a result of China’s non-compliance with the actual Line of Control. China, however, claimed that India was behind the entire incident on the night of June 15.

In a comment on the Indochina situation in Galwan last week, Foreign Minister Jaishankar said: “The most worrying situation has arisen since 1972 (the Indochina war).”
