Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka has a long-standing complication with 12 abandoned planes from four airlines. However, to solve this complication, the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Authority has taken the initiative to sell the abandoned plane at auction.
Work is currently under way on the third terminal of the airport. As a result, there is no other option but to move these planes in the airport’s space crisis.
In this regard, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) informed the media that the initiative has been taken to sell the abandoned aircraft at auction. If there is no buyer, the parts of the aircraft will be sold at the price of kg.
Twelve abandoned planes from four airlines have been lying in front of Export Cargo Village for a long time. The abandoned aircraft include eight United Airways and one GMG, two Regent Airways and one Aviena Airlines.
Bebichak owes hundreds of millions of rupees to these airlines. The owners took no action despite repeated notices to recall the planes. So the last step was to sell them.
