The UAE has terminated a boycott of Israel following a normal agreement. The Jewish state has so far banned all trade and commerce with Tel Aviv through this law.

The UAE took this step after signing an agreement to normalize relations with Israel on August 13. The Times of Israel quoted the United Arab Emirates state news agency, WAM.

According to WAM, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a decree repealing the central 1962 law on boycotting Israel.

Referring to the scope of the decree, the WAM news agency said that from now on, citizens of the United Arab Emirates will be able to trade and deal with people living in Israel. Therefore, they can also come to an agreement if necessary. Due to this decree, as of now, any type of Israeli goods or property can be kept and sold in the UAE.

In addition, direct flights between the United Arab Emirates and Israel will be launched from Monday. The first flight from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, will land at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. The plane will carry a high-level Israeli delegation and Jared Kushner, son-in-law and top adviser to US President Donald Trump.
