It has been alleged that the superintendent in charge of a madrasa in Pirgachha, Rangpur, is secretly trying to recruit superintendents, nurses and laborers in exchange for large sums of money.
Jahedul Islam, the guardian and whistleblower of the madrassa, confirmed the allegations on Saturday, saying that Acting Superintendent Shamsul Haque has long been running the madrasah through wrongdoing and corruption. Previously, he also secretly tried to recruit preferred candidates by publishing recruitment notices in newspapers.
Due to protests from the locals, the recruitment process could not be completed in the end. After a short break, he secretly issued a notification again. Complaints in this regard have been filed in various offices, including the office of the Upazila Nirbahi officer on Thursday.
According to the complaint, Aladipara Acting Superintendent Azizia Dakhil Madrasa in upazila has long been committing massive irregularities and corruption. He has already secretly published hiring notices in newspapers for hiring third and fourth class employees more than once. But he failed to recruit under pressure from the locals.
This secret is known to be used to recruit by stealing large sums of money from the preferred candidate. Previously, in collusion with the steering committee, Super published a hiring notice in the Sarvasba newspaper and delivered a copy of the newspaper to the candidate of its choice. Later, the candidates also ran by ordering their names only as rival candidates. So that there are no obstacles in the selection process to recruit the preferred candidate.
Recently, members of the local guardians have complained about the secret publication of a notice in the Sarvasba newspaper for the hiring of employees again.
Shamsul Haque, Acting Superintendent of Aladipara Azizia Dakhil Madrasa, secretly denied publishing the hiring notice in the newspaper, saying that one of the parties had made such accusations to oppose the appointment.
