In Wazirpur, Barisal, a seventh-class schoolgirl has been accused of being more than 6 months pregnant after being raped more than once. The schoolgirl’s mother, Aklima Begum, filed a case against the 21-year-old rapist Agun Bali at the Wazirpur model police station under the Child and Women’s Abuse Prevention Act on Wednesday.
According to sources in the case, Agun Bali, son of Idris Bali from the Kachua village in the Sholak Union of the upazila, began to tempt the eighth-grade student at Kachua High School to marry. Since the student’s parents were not at home 6 months ago, Agun Bali broke into her home and raped her. She was then raped more than once. Later, when the student started talking about marriage, the fire started to burn and at one point she stopped communicating with him.
Meanwhile, the student’s mother filed a case with the Wazirpur Model Police Station under the Child and Women’s Abuse Prevention Law. Police arrested suspected rapist Agun Bali from his home on Wednesday and rescued the victim and took him to the police station. The defendant was sent to jail on Thursday morning.
The police officer in charge of Wazirpur (OC) said. Ziaul Ahsan said that a case has been brought up in this incident. The rapist has already been arrested and imprisoned in the Barisal prison and the victim was sent to court for a confessional search.
