At least 1,600 people have been infected with the coronavirus at the Kwambedu market in Chennai. Authorities say at least 6,500 people in the market have been exposed to the virus. It is feared that this could lead to a jump in the number of victims in the state.
The number of patients who have recovered from Kovid-19 in India so far is 22,455. The country’s health department said the recovery rate from the disease was 31.83 percent.
