A doctor at M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur has been charged with rape. A 30-year-old woman presented the case at the Kotwali police station on Tuesday afternoon. The police charged the doctor. Nardev Roy could not be arrested.
According to sources, Dr. Nardev Roy had a love story with a young girl from Kashidanga at Biral Upazila in Dinajpur. A university student has repeatedly asked for marriage in the past two years, but Nardev has not listened. But he called her into the residential neighborhoods of the hospital and had a physical relationship with her.
At one stage of the discussion about marriage on Sunday night, the doctor locked the young woman in her room and left. In the evening, the young woman called 999 and asked for the help of the police. The police rescued him from there and took him to the police station. After that a rape case was filed.
The accused doctor said. Nardev Roy is working at M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur. His house is in the Preganza area of Debiganj upazila de Panchagarh. After trying to find out what happened after the incident, Nardev Roy’s phone was found turned off. Her older brother Joydev Barman, a professor at Panchagarh Women’s College, said: “It is a kind of cheating. My brother is falling into a conspiracy. The issue of rape is unfounded and false.
Inspector from Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station (Investigation) Bazlur Rashid said a case of rape had been registered against the doctor. The accused is a fugitive. Medical examinations of the victim have been arranged.
