According to BITID authorities, Imrul Quader Bhuiyan, the company’s senior manager, went to the hospital around 10 am with 10 new cylinders filled with oxygen. The hospital director, Prof. MA Hasan Chowdhury, and the Director of Divisional Health, Hasan Shahriar, were present there.

MA Hasan Chowdhury, director of the hospital, told Prothom Alo that they previously had to fill cylinders for various oxygen factories, including Kalurghat, in the city. They used to have some problems on this. Abul Khair’s initiative benefited them.

He added that he had recently received a letter from the health department about the oxygen supply of Abul Khair’s group. According to him, the factory delivered 10 new cylinders today. Abul Khair’s group said that not only the new cylinders but all the empty cylinders in the hospital would be filled with oxygen.

Abul Khair’s group said their oxygen plant was located at the AKS steel factory in the Chowdhuryghata area of ​​the Sonaichhari union in upazila. From there, oxygen will be supplied to all the crown hospitals in the country. Factory authorities imported 300 new cylinders and filled them with oxygen. Each cylinder has a capacity of 1.4 cubic meters.

Imrul Quader Bhuiyan, the factory’s senior manager, told Prothom Alo that they would provide free oxygen to all crown hospitals in the country at the company’s expense. They will also pay for transportation. This activity will continue as long as necessary. Today, BITID and Field Hospital in Chittagong have received oxygen.

Imrul Quader Bhuiyan said a team of 15 people was formed to manage the oxygen supply activities. He will lead the team members. Opened a helpline to contact hospitals. He asked to contact the hospital authorities assigned to Corona.
