The laboratory journey began on the ground floor of a building under construction at the Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Jamalpur. Coronavirus detection work will be carried out under the supervision of Professor AKM Musa from the Department of Microbiology, Sheikh Hasina Medical College. However, it will take two more days to begin the sample test.
According to sources at the Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Jamalpur, the ground floor of a newly constructed Sheikh Hasina Medical College building was recently prepared for the installation of RT PCR laboratory equipment. It only takes 10 days to install all the equipment. All preparations were completed last Monday.
According to local sources, the number of crown cases in the Jamalpur district is increasing day by day. Therefore, it has been necessary to analyze the samples of many people at the same time. As a result, in response to the district’s demands, the organizing secretary of the Awami League and the deputy from Jamalpur-3, Mirza Azam, and the Minister of State for Information. This laboratory was created with the help of Murad Hasan.
In this regard, Professor AKM Musa, from the Department of Microbiology at Sheikh Hasina Medical College, told Prothom Alo that the test of the crown sample can be done in Jamalpur in the next two days. All work is done. In this laboratory, 94 samples can be analyzed every six hours. 6 doctors and 6 medical technologists will work in the laboratory. In addition, many will work on other topics. The results of these will be sent to interested institutions, including the district Civil Surgeon and the government’s IEDCR.
