Police have recovered the bloody body of a night watchman from the Kajalshah area of ​​the Sylhet City Medical Trail. The body was recovered Monday morning and kept at the Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The death of the night watchman named Perth Pratim Das was captured in images from the nearby CCTV camera. Perth Das is a resident of Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj, police said.
According to the police, Perth Das was on duty as a night watchman in Pansibazar, in the Kajalshah area. He was also on duty Sunday night. On Monday morning, the locals saw his bloody body lying on the road and reported to the police. Later, the Kotwali police recovered the body.

Kotwali OC Police Station Mohammad Selim Miah said: “The police went to view the images from a nearby CCTV camera to find out how Perth Das died.” Captured on CCTV, he slept with two chairs together on the roof of a one-story building at night. At 2:33 pm, he fell from the roof of a one-story building with his head down. He fell and died on the spot.

The OC said an autopsy would reveal whether Perth Das had a stroke while sleeping. According to Perth Das’ national identity card, he is a Chhatak resident. But no relatives were found there.
