Mufti Faizullah, Oikyajot’s general secretary, said: “Maulana Nezami fell while performing ablutions for Maghrib’s prayers after Iftar on Monday. When they took him to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. However, we did not receive the full report. His death, we lost a veteran politician and our mentor. We will inform him of his janaza and burial later.
It is worth mentioning that Maulana Abdul Latif Nezami was the editor and publisher of the Sarkar newspaper. Maulana Nezami was 64 years old at the time of her death. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, as well as numerous relatives and admirers.
