Three more private hospitals are being added for corona treatment

Previously, the government had assigned 10 hospitals for crown patients in the capital. Of these, three are private hospitals. In addition to this, crown patients are also being treated in one part of the Dhaka Medical School Hospital.

The three recently added private hospitals are Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Impulse Hospital and Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital. These three have a total of 650 beds for crown patients.

According to a letter from the Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on April 25, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital was created to treat only Kovid-19 patients. The government will also bear the medical expenses for this.

Professor Mohammad Murshed is the director of the Holy Family Hospital. The Prothom-aloWho said that 400 beds have been prepared for the treatment of Corona patients. The hospital has 10 ICUs. The six beds in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) can also be used for ventilation. Admission of the Corona patient to the hospital will begin next week.

Treatment of crown patients will also begin next week at Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in Dhanmondi. Hospital authorities said 200 beds have been prepared for this. There will be 10 beds in the ICU.

As of last Friday, the number of police infected with coronavirus across the country was 1,429. Half of them are members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The government has rented a private Impulse Hospital in the Tejgaon industrial area for the treatment of police personnel. The number of beds in this hospital is 250.

Bashundhara Isolation Center launched

A director for a temporary hospital has been designated at the Bashundhara City International Convention (ICCB) for the treatment of patients with a crown. Doctors and nurses have been appointed to open the hospital. Recruitment of other human resources is in progress.

UCI facilities are being added

The intensive care unit (ICU) and artificial respiration or ventilation facilities are essential for patients with coronavirus. But the government hospitals designated for crown patients did not have ICU facilities at Mahanagar General Hospital, Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Mirpur, and General Railway Hospital. Among them, a 5-bed ICU unit is being established in metropolitan and maternal and child health hospitals.

The Metropolitan Hospital adjacent to the Babubazar Bridge is owned by the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). There were 51 crown patients at the hospital last Friday. The director of the hospital is Prakash Chandra Roy. The Prothom-aloWho said the installation work for the 5-bed ICU unit is over? The purchase process for air conditioning (AC) equipment is underway through the City Corporation. The ICU will power on as soon as the AC is installed.

Last Friday, 48 crown patients were admitted to the Lalkuthi Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Mirpur. Although the hospital has 200 beds, 175 beds have been prepared for corona treatment.

The director of the hospital is Shamsul Karim. The Prothom-aloWho said the hospital had no ICU facilities. Preparation of the 5-bed ICU unit is in the final stage. The ICU unit can be started in a few days.

There is no patient alone in the gastroller Sheikh Russell

Government hospitals designated for crown patients include Kuwait Bangladesh Maitri Hospital, Kurmitola Hospital, Mugda Hospital, Mahanagar Hospital, Maternal and Child Health Hospital and the General Railway Hospital. The Uttara and Mirpur branches of the Regent Private Hospital and the Sajida Foundation at Shimrail in Narayanganj had patients admitted.

The Sheikh Russell Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in Mohakhali is ready to provide medical services. However, no patient with a crown was admitted to the hospital until yesterday. A market isolation center is being built for the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) in Mohakhali. There will be 1,300 beds. The work will be completed in a couple of weeks, said Aminul Hasan, director of the health department.

Plans to install beds for garment workers.

Discussions are underway to establish beds in various hospitals for crown-affected garment factory workers.
