India steps up military operations in Kashmir: Imran Khan

The Pakistani Prime Minister has expressed concern about renewed Indian military operations in the disputed Kashmir border area and the escalation of attacks in the area.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said in response to the Indian military presence on the border that Islamabad has clear evidence that it is preparing for war against Pakistan and that it could use the recent turmoil as a pretext to start a war. Imran Khan warned the international community, including countries in the region, that if a war breaks out between India and Pakistan, all countries that have suffered will suffer.

Tensions have risen in recent days along the India-Pakistan border in disputed Kashmir, with sporadic clashes between the armies of the two sides. With the resumption of Indian military operations on the border and its aggressive stance against Islamabad, Pakistani officials feel that India is indeed trying to create a battlefield that will have serious consequences for all countries in the region.

In February of last year, Indian fighter jets attacked Pakistani territory and openly violated Pakistan’s sovereignty. But Pakistan responded by shooting down two planes. In addition, just a few months ago, the Indian Army conducted a large-scale military exercise on the same border, and they have recently intensified military operations along the Kashmir border. Observers believe that through these activities, India has, in fact, tried to show its readiness and strength in a possible war between the two countries.

However, the main reason for the conflict between India and Pakistan is the dispute over Kashmir property. Reshmi Sauda Puri, a professor at the University of Punjab in India, said: “Kashmir is a very old crisis and the fact that it has been going on for decades shows that no country has the will to solve the crisis.”

Pakistan’s policy on Kashmir is to hold a referendum there, according to a UN resolution, so that local people can decide whether to stay with India or Pakistan. But India has rejected Pakistan’s demand from the start, and Delhi considers any external support for cashmere to be interference in India’s internal affairs. India claims that it is an internal matter in its country at a time when it not only ignores the UN resolution on the future of Kashmir, but even New Delhi has recently taken away Kashmir’s right of autonomy. As a result, a new instability has been created there and limitless misery has descended in public life.

After the deprivation of autonomy, the government and the people of Pakistan have begun to provide more support for the rights of cashmere controlled by India and have called on the international community to take measures to stop the persecution of Muslims by Hindu extremists across India, including Kashmir.

In this situation, India is trying to pressure Pakistan by increasing military activities on the border so that they do not talk about Indian Muslims, including Kashmir. Parstude
