National professor Dr. Anisuzzaman was taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for advanced treatment. Managing Director of the Mohakhali Universal Cardiac Hospital (former Ayesha Memorial Hospital). Ashish Kumar Chakraborty confirmed the information on Saturday (May 9).
Previously, this eminent Bengali teacher was receiving treatment at this hospital.
He told the Bengali Tribune that he was taken to CMH from Universal Cardiac Hospital today at the request of his family.

This eminent Bangladeshi educator and writer was born on February 16, 1936 in Basirhat, 24 Parganas District of West Bengal, Kolkata. He moved to Dhaka with his family while he was still at school. This eminent writer who participated in the Bangladesh Liberation War retired after completing his career as a teacher of Bengali language and literature at the University of Dhaka. He has several important research books on the Bengali language and literature. As a researcher and writer, he has received several awards, including Ekushey Padak, Bangla Academy Award, Ananda Award.
