Image symbol Jeevan Ghosh’s bloody body was found in a closed confectionery. Aray Ghosh had presented a case on behalf of an unknown person at the Mugda Police Station. After investigating the incident, police said his younger brother Rajib Ghosh had killed Jiban and hit him over the head with a brick.

The tragic incident took place last Thursday in the northern Mugda of the capital. There is a family candy store called “Life Food Fantasy”. The three sons of Narayan Ghosh, Jiban Ghosh, Mintu Ghosh, and Rajib Ghosh, used to run the store together. They were selling Iftar items on the occasion of Ramadan. Police arrested Rajiv Ghosh on Friday. He confessed to killing his brother in court on Saturday. The court sent him to jail.

In the case filed at the Sabujbagh police station, Narayan Ghosh mentioned that on Thursday, Jiban Ghosh went to the store after having lunch at home. At this time he took food with him for his younger brother Rajeev. The two brothers sell Iftar items until the evening. Around 7.15 pm, Rajib returned home alone and went to bathe. After bathing, he asked Rajiv about his life. The answer to life was that he left the store kitchen through the back door. When he arrived, he saw the shutter closed.

Narayan Ghosh said that in the case, when Rajib’s mobile phone was turned off, he went to the store with Rajib around 9 pm with the store’s “duplicate” key. Rajiv opened the blinds of the store, lit the lamp and shouted: “Dad. There is no brother.” The corpse of life fell to the floor of the store. Blood and blood everywhere. Wrap the store hand towel around your neck.

During interrogation after Rajiv’s arrest, he told police that he wanted 100 rupees from his older brother Jeevan. But life did not give him money. There was a fight between them about this. At one point he was very angry. Then he took a brick from the front of the store and hit the back of life’s head. Life fell to the ground. Then when he hit his head again, blood started to come out. Rajiv supported his head with a towel to stop the bleeding. But the blood does not stop, life does not move. Frightened, he settled down and went home.

Investigators in the case said Rajiv left the bricks used in the murder on the street and the store key inside his mouth and went home. From the scene, Rajiv was shown the blood-stained bricks and the genji he was wearing at the time of the murder were recovered from the bathroom of the house.

Dhaka Police Metropolitan Sabujbagh Region Senior Commissioner Assistant. Rashed Hasan told Prothom Alo that they reviewed CCTV footage of the building opposite the scene after the incident. There they found the suspicious movements of Rajiv. He later confessed to the murder after his arrest.

Rashed Hasan said that Rajiv was addicted to drugs. A few days ago, he returned from a drug development center. He often asked his older brother for money. But I didn’t want to live. One day Rajiv even organized a drama in which he was kidnapped for money. But even then the family did not pay. Often there were disputes over money. Finally he sat down to kill.
