Citing the family, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the southern Matlab police station, Swapan Kumar Aich, said the girl’s home was in the village of Ichapur, Hajiganj upazila. She is the daughter of Saju Mia and Nurunnahara Begum from that village. Her family separated eight or ten years ago. He has been with his mother since childhood. Another married and his father lives in Dhaka. He did not look for the girl. The mother of the housewife works part time and her family lives on what they get. Her mother’s earnings have also been halted for a long time due to the coronavirus. They go through the day without eating. They received no relief supplies.

OC Swapan Kumar Aich further said that there was no food in the girl’s home for three days. Unable to bear the burning sensation of hunger, the girl left home last Thursday afternoon without informing her mother. Matlab moved to Dakshin Upazila Sadar by mistake. At around 8 pm, the Upazila Sadar water tank area began to move. The matter came to police notice. By asking the girl the reason for her wandering, the police can uncover the story of her suffering and failure. He was rescued from there and taken to the police station and given food. He then took the girl to Hajiganj with some food in his car (OC) and handed her over to her mother.
Khorshed Alam, president of the upazila 12th Parishad Union (UP), was also asked to help the family.
