Proposal to establish a mosque quarantine center in India

The mosque committee has proposed to the Calcutta Municipality of India to convert the mosque into a single-story quarantine facility. The proposal is known to have come from the Bengali Bazaar Mosque in the Gardenrich area.

According to the proposal given to the municipality, 6,000 square feet of space is located on the third floor of the mosque. The municipality can use that floor as a quarantine center. Sources said the decision of the mosque committee was in the social interest during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to municipal sources, the number of beds in the quarantine center in the city is gradually decreasing due to crown infection. As a result, they will have some solution to this decision of the Bangali Bazar Mosque Committee.

Meanwhile, the state Home Office has listed part of Gardenrich as a containment area.

Commenting on the proposal, Imam Maulana Qari Muhammad Rajbi of the Bengali Bazaar Mosque Committee said: “We had news that the state government was looking for a place to open a new quarantine center.” So I thought I would open a quarantine center on the third floor. That floor is clean and there are all kinds of arrangements.

He stated that since the closing, public meetings are prohibited. So the locals don’t come to the mosque to pray. They have been advised to observe Ramadan at home. The mosque committee claimed that the proposal was made with the permission of the locals. Everyone has supported this noble cause. ‘According to sources in the municipality of Calcutta, they are grateful for the position of the mosque committee.

Like the rest of the country, the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in West Bengal. According to official statistics, the number of infections has increased in the last two days in the state. On Thursday alone, 92 more people were infected with the deadly disease. 112 people were infected on Wednesday. The number of people infected with Kovid-19 increases day by day. Therefore, many areas of Kolkata have been declared containment zones. The number of containment areas has also increased as transmission of the disease increases. Of the seven corona patients who died in the past two days, five were from Calcutta. It is also known that the majority of people in West Bengal who are newly infected with Covid-19 are residents of Kolkata. As a result, Tilottama has become a city of terror. Health workers at various hospitals in Kolkata are also being affected by the crown. They also have to be quarantined.
