Eight people have been taken into isolation after a member of the Rajarbagh police headquarters was attacked. The Dhaka Riot Suppression Department (POM) had to take the same action after an attack. The Chittagong Dampara Police Lines Barracks have been attacked and 200 members of the police have been sent to the Local Quarantine.
According to Dhaka Metropolitan Police sources, 12 police officers were infected with a crown as of Wednesday. Since then, 15 more people have been confirmed infected. DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam told Prothom Alo that all the police members who were attacked had come out to carry out their duties. They think they have been infected by inadvertently moving around people.
In asking police personnel to be more vigilant while on duty, the police commissioner said that steps were taken from the beginning to protect police personnel. They are getting stronger now. Police members who are at risk of infection are being isolated. 100 beds have been arranged for them on the temporary police lines in Demra. Apart from this, quarantine and isolation arrangements have also been made at Rajarbagh Guest House and Mirpur Guest House.
