Nine members of the same family have escaped the UK by eluding police and hotel security at the Britannia Hotel in Sylhet.
At noon on Sunday (March 20), they bypassed the hotel security cordon and returned to their home in Zakiganj, hotel authorities said.
Around 2 p.m. Sunday, 9 expats from the same family in rooms 203 and 603 left without saying anything to anyone. They were subsequently contacted via mobile phones. Expats said they went home to see the grieving patient. They will return to quarantine at the hotel, hotel authorities said.
The 9 expatriates who fled arrived from London on March 16 and began living in quarantine. His quarantine is scheduled to end on March 26 after the necessary exams.
