A CID team arrested Mamun Talukder, 51, and his accomplice Mamun, 33, in a raid in the Kaliakair area of ​​Gazipur on Wednesday night. At that time two large cabinets and six glass containers containing snake venom were recovered.

The CID said there was no legalization of the sale of snake venom in Bangladesh. Traffickers have been using Bangladesh as a route to smuggle snake venom.

The CID Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG) Sheikh Mohammad said this at a press conference held at the CID headquarters in Malibagh, the capital, on Thursday afternoon. After this, Mamun Talukder and his accomplice Mamun, the main ringleader of the snake venom smuggling ring, were arrested last night.
