Seven children from Ujjalpur’s Noakhali Sadar Upazila village received the award after performing five daily prayers with Jamaat in the mosque for 40 consecutive days.
They received a reception and awards at the Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Thursday afternoon.
This exceptional initiative was organized by the Sadar Upazila Imam-Khatib Ulama Welfare Federation. It has been funded by religious expatriates from Ujjalpur.
Noakhali Sadar Upazila Imam-Khatib Ulema, President of the Social Welfare Federation, Maulana Mufti Gias Uddin, chaired the function. Deputy Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Zakaria, Upazila Siddiqur Rahman Education Officer, Noakhali City Councilor, Journalist Zahidur Rahman Shamim, President of the Noakhali Parishad Union Guest House President. The speakers said that, as Muslims, each of us should go to the mosque five times and perform takbeer with Ulaar. Others are encouraged to pray by giving receptions and rewards to children for going to the mosque and praying for 40 days.
Speakers expressed their gratitude to expatriates Zillur Rahman Sajib, Omar Farooq Bablu and Sharif Uddin for this great initiative.
Later, four of the seven children were given bicycles and three Islamic books.
Sadar President Upazila Parishad AKM Shamsuddin Jehan was the main guest of the function.
