A total of six youths were allegedly abducted by Chinese troops in the Upper Subansiri district on Thursday. Two of them are known to have somehow managed to escape. Finally, the Chinese side also admitted that the five young men are in their custody. Beijing recognized this after Indian troops communicated with Chinese troops through the hotline. The necessary documents for their repatriation are being prepared.

On Tuesday, the Minister of State for Minorities, Kiren Rijiju, wrote in a tweet: “Those five teenagers are in China. They were detained by Chinese troops after crossing the border into China. The corresponding documents are being prepared for their repatriation. The five teenagers will be returned to the country as soon as possible. There is no reason to worry.

It is worth mentioning that the Arunachal administration was shaken after the news of the kidnapping of 5 people spread on social networks. A police team was also dispatched to the scene. However, the village near the Line of Royal Control (LAC) where the kidnapping took place is in a very remote area. But there was no solution.

Ninong Ering, a former Union Minister and current MLA of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress, has been on social media since last Saturday after allegations of kidnapping five young Indians against the Chinese military surfaced. He said the incident took place in the Upper Subansiri district. The abducted youth are also known to be residents of the Nacho village in the district.

The Red Army is alleged to have kidnapped six people from the village last Thursday after crossing the border. But two of the six managed to escape somehow. Back in town, the two told the whole story to the family. The kidnappers are said to be members of the Tagin tribe.
