485 Cox’s Bazar Transferred Cops Got Lottery Jobs

From the Cox’s Bazar district, 485 police officers of various ranks have recently been posted to the Sylhet range in the public interest. These police officers and members were assigned to four districts of the Sylhet Range by lottery on Sunday afternoon (October 11).

At the initiative of the Sylhet District Police, a special briefing was organized in the Shaheed SP Shamsul Haque Auditorium of the Sylhet Police Line for all police personnel who joined the Sylhet Range. Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed addressed the function as the main guest.

Subsequently, in the presence of all, the DIG ordered the immediate transfer of a total of 465 police officers from newly recruited officers to police inspectors to the districts of Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj by lottery.

To ensure that no police have to visit the office, responsible persons, including computers and photocopiers, are kept ready at the briefing location in advance. The names in the lottery against the vacant post in Wari district were immediately released to interested police officers through clerical warrants.
