From the Cox’s Bazar district, 485 police officers of various ranks have recently been posted to the Sylhet range in the public interest. These police officers and members were assigned to four districts of the Sylhet Range by lottery on Sunday afternoon (October 11).
At the initiative of the Sylhet District Police, a special briefing was organized in the Shaheed SP Shamsul Haque Auditorium of the Sylhet Police Line for all police personnel who joined the Sylhet Range. Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed addressed the function as the main guest.
Additional DIG Joydev Kumar Bhadra, Sylhet District Police Superintendent Mohammad Farid Uddin, Range DIG Police Superintendent Nurul Islam and Shahinul Alam Khan spoke as special guests at the function hosted by Range DIG Police Superintendent Zedan To the Muse.
Welcoming all the police personnel who joined Sylhet Range, Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed said that every member and police officer must serve the people of Sylhet Range with the utmost professionalism and sincerity. Everyone needs to be inspired to learn from past mistakes and serve people in startups.
Subsequently, in the presence of all, the DIG ordered the immediate transfer of a total of 465 police officers from newly recruited officers to police inspectors to the districts of Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj and Sunamganj by lottery.
To ensure that no police have to visit the office, responsible persons, including computers and photocopiers, are kept ready at the briefing location in advance. The names in the lottery against the vacant post in Wari district were immediately released to interested police officers through clerical warrants.
Members of the police expressed their joy at the immediate deployment order in the exceptional arrangement and also expressed their gratitude to the DIG and pledged to dedicate themselves to people-friendly police with a great vow of service.
When asked about the deployment of such a large number of officers through the lottery, Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed said that 100% transparency in transfer, recruitment and promotion is guaranteed to make the police of Bangladesh is modern and friendly with the dedicated efforts of IGP. As part of this, 485 police officers were assigned via lottery today and immediate office warrants were issued.
