Dhaka: Four people, including two workers, were seriously injured when a launch beam collapsed during the installation of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in the airport area of the capital.
The incident took place around 10:30 am on Sunday (March 14).
Airport Rapid Transit Quality (QC) engineer Abdur Rahman told banglanews that four people, including two workers, were injured when a launch beam fell while working around 10:30 am. They were rushed to the hospital.

Work was underway on a bus rapid transit project across the highways in the airport area. One side of the launching beam bent and collapsed during the installation of the project here. Four people were seriously injured in the incident. Between them are two workers.
He said the wounded were rescued and three were taken to Ever Care Hospital and one to a hospital for the disabled. However, the launch beam is still at risk.
