Four members of the same family were stabbed to death by criminals in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira. They were killed Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Shahinur Rahman, 40, his wife Sabina Khatun, 35, their son Siam Hossain, 10, and their daughter Taslima, 6. Their home is in the Helatala union’s Khalishagram in Kalaroa upazila.
OC Haran Pal said that around 8:30 am today, Helatla Union President Moazzem Hossain informed them that a house near Helatla Union Parishad had been burglarized overnight. The robbers killed four members of the same family at the time. Based on the news, he went to the scene with other policemen. He went and saw that the parents and their two children had been beaten to death by the criminals. However, the criminals did not take any other items from the house.
Raihanul Islam, younger brother of the late Shahinur Rahman, said there were seven people in the home, including four members of his mother’s family and his older brother. My mother was yesterday in the house of a relative. He (Raihanul) was in the next room. In the morning he heard a growl from the next room. He went and saw the door of the house closed from outside. He opened the door and saw this tragic scene. A child was still alive. After a while he also died.
