4 disciples fled carrying the body of Pir who died 6 months ago

Locals detained four disciples as they fled from the tomb of Pir Nurul Islam, who died eight months ago, from the village of Charaldia at the Masua junction of Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj. The shocking incident took place around 3 a.m. Thursday. At that time, CNG-powered autorickshaws were also seized.

6 months ago, the body of the late Pir Nurul Islam was collected from the cemetery of his home and bedroom. Mukshed Mia and 4 other people were fleeing in a CNG powered autorickshaw. At that moment, they seized Pir’s body wrapped in polyethylene paper and an autorickshaw in the hands of the locals.

Hundreds of curious locals, including the saint’s disciples, gathered at the scene since dawn upon hearing the news of the shocking incident. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene. Later, with the help of local dignitaries, Pir’s body was not transferred in the presence of the police and he was reburied in the old cemetery.

Confirming the incident, the Katiadi OC MA Jalil model police station said the incident took place on the basis of previous disputes between disciples, daughter, son-in-law and children over the cemetery.
