The local administration handed over to their families 4 children accused in the rape case
The local administration has transferred the 4 minors accused in the case filed against them in Bakerganj de Barisal to their respective homes. Following the order of the High Court, administration officials took the 4 children to the Runshi village of Bakerganj by minibus at 7:50 am on Friday.
Earlier, after watching the news broadcast on a private television channel, the Barisal Juvenile Court granted bail to the four children on Thursday night as directed by the Superior Court. The chief superintendent of the Barisal Central Jail jail sent an email to the deputy director of the Jessore Youth Development Center for his overnight release. In view of this, administration officials took 4 children in a minibus and departed for Bakerganj in Barisal on Thursday at 2 am.
District Deputy Executive Officer (UN) Madhavi Roy, Probation Officer from Deputy Commissioner’s Office Sajjad Parvez, OC of Bakerganj Abul Kalam Police Station, and other local officials were present as they handed over the four children to their relatives. At that time, UNO Madhavi Roy said: ‘We are following the instructions of the higher court. And the whole thing is being investigated. At the end of the investigation, the value of the incident will be revealed.
Their relatives expressed their gratitude to the court for having the children. They also demanded that appropriate action be taken against false accusers.
It can be mentioned that on October 4, a girl was playing with four boys at Rangshree Union of Bakerganj in Barisal. The girl’s father later filed a case at Bakerganj Police Station on October 8 alleging rape. Four minors were arrested in the case and handed over to court on October 8.
