Allama Shah Ahmad ShafiA total of 313 academics have demanded a judicial investigation into the death of Amir Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, the founder of Hefazat-e-Islam. This was stated in a press release signed by Maulana Mufti Abdus Chhattar, Publicity Secretary of the Ahmed Shafi Foundation, Bangladesh in Mahibbin on Friday (December 25) evening. Ahmed Shafi, a leading scholar, confirmed the statement to the Bengali Tribune.

The statement alleged: “Terrorists have contaminated the entire Qaumi courtyard by terrorizing the Hathazari madrassa in the name of the movement, vandalizing the rooms of Allama Ahmad Shafi by looting, vandalizing the rooms of the madrassa muhaddiths and physically beating them.” The cadres of Jamaat-Shibir and the extremists of Manhaji are involved in this conspiracy. One of his main goals was to seize power in Hathazari Madrasa, occupy Qaumi’s courtyard, create a platform for a politically anti-government movement, and remove Shah Ahmad Shafi from the world to implement his political agenda.

The statement by 313 academics alleged: “Today, when Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi’s family goes door to door seeking justice for the murder, when they have gone to court for justice; then we see a class of agenda executors political and power hungry who deny the demand for a judicial investigation and mislead the general public that Ahmed Shafi’s body should be exhumed.

It is worth mentioning that Ahmed Shafi died on September 17 in a private hospital in the capital. Ahmed Shafi’s brother-in-law, Mainuddin, filed a case in the Chittagong Magistrates Court on December 16 for his death. Subsequently, the court ordered PBI to investigate and submit a report within a month. Hefazat Amir Maulana Junaid Babungari has accused the case of “political harassment”. He demanded the withdrawal of the case.

The statement quoted 313 scholars as saying: “Last Wednesday (December 23) at the Hathazari Madrasa, Junaid Babungari held a press conference with his own uncle and some innocent teachers from the Hathazari Madrasa. That is, Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi has died a natural death. If death is normal, where is the problem if the investigation? In case of normal death, the result of the investigation will come out. So why threaten to withdraw the case and threaten at the press conference with what strict measures will be taken against them if he does not withdraw?

‘It means, dal mein kuch kala hai. If your claim is true, then you should have applauded the case and its investigation. Instead, he held a press conference to show that Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi’s death was unusual. Although no Hathazari Madrasa teachers have been charged in the case, by keeping the Hathazari Madrasa teachers present at the press conference, they are trying to get involved in the debate of the innocent Alem-Ulama and are trying to deflect public opinion ”, the academics said in the statement.

The statement claimed that the case brought against 36 people in the Chittagong court was directly and indirectly involved in the murder of Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi. Today they are giving statements on behalf of various scholars to cover fish with vegetables. All those who attended Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi’s janaza have witnessed the murder of Allama Shafi and Hazrat’s family has demanded justice by holding speeches and press conferences more than once. Is it a crime for your family to demand a murder trial as a victim? Terrorists continue to threaten to kill Hazrat’s family and Maulana Anas Madani. He cannot move for fear of threats. We seek the intervention of the forces of order in this situation.

The names mentioned in the statement are: Mufti Osman (Dhaka), Mufti Nurul Islam (Dhaka), Abdul Quader, Mufti Saiful Islam (Dhaka), Mufti Khefayat Ullah (Dhaka), Mustafa Kamal (Sylhet), Mufti Sirajul Islam (Chittagong) . ), Mufti Noman Qasemi (Noakhali), Mahmudul Hasan Jihadi (Chittagong), Rahim Ullah Nomani (Quote), Abdul Haq (Chandpur), Abdus Sattar Jihadi (Dhaka), Muzaherul Haque (Jamalpur), Saifuddin Qasemi (Aminultagong) , Nasir Uddin Afendi (Pabna), Mufti Ahmad Ali (Comilla), Hafeez Jaber Ahmed (Narsingdi), Mufti Faizul Karim (Sylhet), Shahidullah (Jessore), Yaqub Ahmed (Cox’s Bazar), Mubinul Haque, Enamul Haque, Sulaiman, Sadek Hossain, Iqbal Hossain, Saker Hossain Jalali, Nazrul Islam Rahimi, Abdul Wahab Jafri (Naogaon), Mufti Rafiqul Islam and others.
