Author Rafiq Kaiser, Shahriar Kabir, and poet Zulfiqar Matin have been announced for the three literary awards held by the Bangla Academy this year. Rafiq Kaiser receives the ‘Mohammad Barkatullah Essay Literary Prize’, journalist and writer Shahriar Kabir receives the ‘Kabir Chowdhury Children’s Literature Prize’ and Zulfiqar Matin receives the ‘Sadat Ali Akhand Literary Prize’

Habibullah Siraj, director general of the academy, told the Bengali Tribune that the awards were paid on behalf of the families of those named. The Bangla Academy oversees. The duration of each award is different. We don’t have much responsibility here.
Among the winners, Zulfiqar Matin’s literary life dates back to the 1960s. Rafiq Kaiser describes the 1970s a little later. In addition to researching the liberation war, Shahriar Kabir has also written children’s literature. Rafiq Kaiser, literary, essayist and literary critic who began his career in the field of literature in the 1970s, devised contemporary politics and its analysis. Zulfiqar Matin’s careful essays have made him unique among his contemporaries. Shahriar Kabir, chairman of the 1971 Committee to Eliminate Killers and Intermediaries, has come to the fore as the main avenue for children to get to know Bangladesh.
