After hearing the supplemental request in the car contesting the City Corporation’s notice to vacate the store, Justice Md. A Mojibur Rahman Mia virtual superior court and Judge Mohiuddin Shamim approved the order Thursday.

The rule seeks to find out why the City Corporation’s notice to vacate the store will not be declared invalid.

Lawyer Badruddoza Badal appeared for the writ petition in court. Attorney General AM Amin Uddin and Assistant Attorney General Nowroz Russell Chowdhury represented the state.

Later, Badruddoza Badal said: “The High Court has issued a three-month stay on the occupation and location of the shop of 34 owners. The rules ask why the City Corporation should not be instructed to get rid of the non-eviction request from the store owners and why the eviction notice from the City Corporation should not be declared invalid. “

Dhaka South City Corporation announced the eviction on December 14 with a notice to remove illegal facilities outside of the original design.

Shock in the eviction campaign in the Phulbaria market

The owners of the 34 stores filed a writ petition in Superior Court Sunday challenging the notice. The store owners took time out before evicting and petitioned City Corporation.

But with another notice on Thursday, the city corporation said the eviction campaign would take place at noon.

In the morning, the court issued a supplementary application challenging the notice from Dhaka South City Corporation and granted a three-month suspension.
