The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained three people with uranium worth 55 million rupees in a raid in the Rampura area of the capital. This information was given in a press release sent by RAB-10 on Tuesday (December 29).
According to the notification, on the night of December 26, the RAB-10 raided Shukaria Bhaban at 243 / A, East Rampura, Jaker Alley area below the Rampura Police Station on the basis of secret information. At that time, three people were arrested with uranium worth around 55 crore taka. The detainees are believed to be uranium traders. Those arrested are: ABM Siddiqui Prof. Bappi (59), Md. Akhtaruzzaman (33), Md. Mizanur Rahman (50).

At this time they have 1 leather box, 1 small leather and steel box in which is written in English URANIUM ATOMIC ENERGY METALLIC ELEMENT ATOMIC WEIGHT 222.07 (A) 2L.B LABPROS, 1 remote control, 1 manual book, 1 GO Electric counter, 1 rubber dropper, 1 steel covered glass bottle, 5 small thin glass tubes 1 scissors, 1 meter, 1 black compass, 2 tube-shaped objects, 1 metal strainer, 1 catalog, 1 pair of hand gloves, a jacket (gown) was recovered.
During preliminary questioning, the detainees said that they had been illegally buying and selling uranium from various sources.
The recovered property and the accused have been handed over to the Rampura Police Station. Legal action is being taken against the people arrested.
