The latest information on the coronavirus situation in the country was given by the Health Department in a press release on Friday afternoon.
The total number of people infected with coronavirus in the country is said to be 3 lakh 21,615 people with 1,929 people identified as of 8am.
The total number of coronavirus deaths in the country stood at 4,412 with 29 people dying in the last day.
In early August 8, the virus killed 26 people. So the number of deaths per day was more than 30.
According to IEDCR, another 2,211 patients in home and hospital treatment have recovered in the last day. The total number of healthy patients has risen to 2 lakh 18,191 people.
The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 6 and August 27. It crossed three lakhs. Of these, 4,019 patients with Kovid-19 were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.
On March 17, 10 days after the identification of the first patient, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On August 25, that number surpassed four thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest number of deaths in a single day.
Bangladesh ranks 15th in the world in terms of Johns Hopkins University and 29th in terms of death toll.
According to the Department of Health, 13,083 samples have been analyzed in 93 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours. So far 16 lakh 5,111 samples have been tested.
Considering the sample test in 24 hours, the detection rate is 14.6 percent, so far the total detection rate is 20.04 percent. The recovery rate is 8.22 percent and the mortality rate is 1.36 percent.
Among those who have died in the last day, 22 are men and 8 are women. Of them, 28 died in the hospital and 2 at home.
Fifteen of them were over 60 years old. 6 were between 51 and 60 years old, 3 were between 6, 41 to 50 and 31 to 40, and 1 was between 11 and 20 years old.
14 were residents of the Dhaka division, 4 were residents of the Rajshahi division, 3 were residents of the Barisal division, and 2 were residents of the Chittagong, Khulna, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions.
Of the 4,412 deaths registered so far in the country, 3,454 are men and 958 women.
Of these, 2,191 were over 60 years old. In addition, 1,207 persons aged 51 to 60, 565 persons aged 41 to 50, 26 persons aged 31 to 40, 105 persons aged 21 to 30, 36 persons aged 11 to 20 and 19 persons I was under 10 years.
Of these, 2,134 were residents of the Dhaka Division, 952 of the Chittagong Division, 295 of the Rajshahi Division, 365 of the Khulna Division, 162 of the Barisal Division, 198 of the Sylhet Division, 202 of the Rangpur Division and 95 of Mymensingh Division.
