The EU-UK trade agreement has been signed by 28 EU countries. The agreement will be effective as of January 1.

Negotiations on a 10-month trade deal finally got the green light. However, the matter is not yet final. The agreement will be adopted in writing at the next meeting of the European Union and the United Kingdom. Only then will the contract be considered indefinite. However, for now, the agreement will be effective as of January 1.

After Brexit, there was considerable skepticism as to whether it was possible for the UK to have a trade deal with the EU. At one point it seemed that the tangle would not be cut. Trade agreements will not be successful. Without the agreement, the European countries and the United Kingdom would have suffered considerable losses. But the problem was in the draft of the agreement. They all had different demands. The deal was finally closed last week. The EU countries met in Brussels on Monday. At that meeting, 26 countries signed the agreement.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has written to the EU President. Optimistic about the new deal.

The head of the EU, Ursula von der Leyen, has already welcomed the agreement. On Monday, he said the deal establishes important links between Europe and the UK. The quick deal will last.

All the countries of the European Union have welcomed the agreement. German Chancellor Angela Merkel described the agreement as historic. However, France has said it will veto the interests of French fishermen if their interests are not protected.

Originally, the issue of French fishermen was one of the most important issues in the negotiations for 10 months. The UK and France have long debated the issue. France has ensured that the United Kingdom will not create problems for fishermen who fish. If the collateral is not appropriate, they will veto the deal. French fishermen also welcomed the agreement.

However, a member of French President Emmanuel Macron’s council told the media that despite veto threats, Macron welcomed the deal.
