Last January, 23 of the 25 Inter Milan footballers showed signs of a coronavirus. Even a footballer passed out on the field. However, no one was tested.
Romelu Lukaku, the star footballer for the Italian club, has made this explosive claim. He made this claim in an interview on Instagram Live.
“We had a week off in late December,” said Lukaku. Then back to practice. Looking back, most of our footballers have a cough and fever.
Lukaku is one of Belgium’s soccer superstars. He gave this interview to the country’s television presenter, Kat Kerkhofs. Kat is again the wife of Naples star Dries Martens.
“At the time, we were playing Cagliari in a Serie A match,” said Lukaku. In just 17 minutes, our defender Milan Screenia fell unconscious on the field. In the end it had to be picked up.
He added that everyone at Inter was coughing that day. Everyone was supposed to go to the sponsor’s dinner that day. But I went straight to bed.
Lukaku’s comment, we had no proof even then. Then we will never know if we were really infected with the coronavirus.
