Habiganj: Before the beginning of the month of Baishakh, heavy storms and rains have started in Habiganj. Nine upazilas from the district were severely damaged during the 15-minute storm.
20 lakhs of people living in this district have been left without electricity.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday (March 30), most of the district was hit by heavy storms for about 15 minutes and rain for about 30 minutes.
As a result, many power poles have been broken in nine upazilas, including the district city. The tree has collapsed on the line. Damage to homes has also been reported in many areas.
According to the Energy Development Board and Habiganj Palli Bidyut Samiti, power poles have been broken in at least 20 places in the district. The transformer was also damaged in one place. The power supply has been cut off throughout the district.

There have been reports of broken poles in at least ten locations. Work has begun to remove trees from the top of the line. It is not possible to say for sure when it will end. Many clients have called not to connect. He also said that only two substations at Madhabpur upazila started at 11:15 pm.
