French President Emmanuel Macho has given Muslim leaders a 15-day ultimatum. This ultimatum has been issued to accept a letter to protect state securities. He has taken such a firm stance to prevent the spread of Islam, according to a BBC report.
The French Council of Muslim Faith (CFCM) had 15 days on Wednesday to accept the letter. The letter states that Islam should be accepted only as a religion, not politically. Foreign influence in French Muslim organizations has also been prohibited. On Wednesday night, Makhon and his Interior Minister Gerald Dermanian met with eight CFCM leaders at the president’s residence.
Makhon presented a letter to Muslim leaders. So the code of conduct for Muslims in France has been set. Are-
1. No government official can be threatened on religious grounds; otherwise, a strict punishment will be imposed on home (religious) education.
2. Muslim children will be assigned a number that will guarantee their attendance at school. Parents who violate the law will face up to six months in prison, as well as heavy fines.
3. The personal information of anyone who is at risk of loss cannot be exchanged.
The CFCM has already agreed with government authorities that it will form a National Magnet Council. With the approval of the government, the council will appoint an imam of a mosque, who may retire at a later date.
A teacher was assassinated while discussing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the country. A month after the incident, France imposed a code of conduct on Muslim citizens.
