The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued a 13-point directive to stop public celebrations in Dhaka City on the last night of the year amid the Kovid-19 epidemic. In accordance with the instructions of the police, gatherings, gatherings or celebrations cannot be held on city streets, overpasses, on the roofs of buildings or in public places.
The DMP has said that the ban will be imposed in the interests of general security and law and order in the metropolis of Dhaka.
The DMP said that New Year’s celebrations or meetings or dances, songs and cultural events cannot be held outdoors; No fireworks or cookies can be lit anywhere.
However, maintaining a social distance, the event can be held in a limited number of residential hotels under your own management. In that case, the DJ party cannot be performed in any way.
The DMP said that traffic would be restricted that night in the Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara areas, known as the elite areas of Dhaka University and the city. Foreign persons or vehicles will not be allowed into the Dhaka University area after 6pm. Vehicles of teachers, officers and employees residing in the residential area of Dhaka University will be able to enter through Shahbagh Crossing after the stipulated time.
Outsiders will not be able to enter the Gulshan and Banani areas after 8pm. However, residents of those areas will be able to enter Kamal Ataturk Avenue (Kakli Junction) and Mohakhali Amtali Junction after the stipulated time. If you are not a resident of the residential areas of Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, and Dhaka University, you have been discouraged from going to those areas. The DMP has requested residents of the Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara areas to return to their areas at 8pm that night.
In mentioning that no one will be able to stay in the Hatirjheel area after 8pm, it was further said that no bar in the Dhaka metropolis can remain open after 6pm on December 31st. Fast food stores must close at 10 pm.
On the eve of the English New Year, the DMP has also requested not to carry all types of licensed firearms in various residential hotels, restaurants, public gatherings and festivals in Dhaka from 6 p.m. on December 31 to 6 a.m. on December 1. January.
