On the occasion of the Mujib Year, an army team started a bicycle operation from Tentulia in Panchagarh to Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar. Major General Nazrul Islam, GOC of the Army’s 7th Infantry Division and Rangpur Area Commander kicked off the operation by flying balloons and pigeons at Zero Point Bangladesh in Tentulia on Sunday noon. 100 members of the army participate in it.

When they started their journey from Bangladesh in Tentulia, locals, dressed in red and green, stood on both sides of the road and greeted them by waving flags and clapping their hands.

Speaking at the opening performance, Major General Nazrul Islam said that the bicycle expedition was part of the Mujib Year celebrations. With this, I would like to reiterate that the Bangladesh Army, as in the past, is a place of public trust in upholding the independence, integrity and sovereignty of Bangladesh and will continue to fulfill this responsibility at any cost. The Army will contribute to the realization of the Father of the Nation’s dream for the general welfare of the country and will make any initiative of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh very active and successful. The responsibilities entrusted to the army will be fulfilled where and when necessary.
