Executive Engineer of the Padma Bridge (Main Bridge) Dewan. Abdul Quader said the Tiain-e floating crane left the Kumarbhog Construction Yard at 9.15am today for the 36th 150-meter stretch. The section will be installed the same day if there are no technical problems in the next process and the weather is favorable. However, if any obstruction is created, the span will be installed tomorrow.
The installation of this stretch began within 10 days after the installation of stretch 36. On November 12, stretch 36 was placed at poles 9 and 10 on the Mawa side. There are still 4 openings to make the entire bridge visible.
According to the bridge authorities, after the installation of section 36, another section will be installed this month. All sections will be installed in December. Meanwhile, all sections are at Mawa Construction Yard.
2,918 road slabs will be required for the construction of the Padma Bridge. Of these, more than 1,175 road slabs have been installed as of October 31. In addition, 2,959 railway floors will be installed. Of these, more than 1,648 have been installed so far.
