I have made a terrible mistake. I, the owner of a Miniature computer made by Apple that I carry with me everywhere, I am experiencing a deep feeling of regret for the decision to purchase this particular device over one that runs on Android. Because starting this week, Android users will have official access to a beautiful dark mode in Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentations, applications that many of us use regularly, if not constantly.
Google Announced launching in a blog post on Monday, noting that Dark mode can be enabled both manually in the Documents, Spreadsheets or Presentations applications and automatically when dark mode is activated throughout the Android system. To activate the function for individual applications, go to Menu within the app select Configurations, click on Topic, and choose Dark. (Google points out that manually changing the theme in an app will change the default theme for the app to advance regardless of system settings.)
For this theme, the settings and navigation menus are a beautiful slate gray, while white documents turned into a dark theme will be a bit closer to true black. The theme can also be changed while working on a document, with the application automatically adjusting any content and themes for the user. Documents can be previewed in the clear topic by navigating to Plus in the upper right corner and selecting See in clear topic.
Google says the dark theme will start rolling out today. In the meantime, I, a humble loser of iOS, will eagerly await support for iPhone users sometime in the future. And for the love of my eyes, and despite my ill-informed colleagues whose views on the dark mode are bad and incorrect-I hope it arrives soon.
