Amy Schumer will no longer have children after giving birth to son Gene.
The “Expecting Amy” star, 39, says on this week’s “Sunday Today with Willie Geist” (via People) that she will not be going through IVF again because of how difficult it was for her and husband Chris Fischer earlier this year.
“We did IVF and IVF was really hard on me,” she says. “I do not think I could ever do IVF again.”
The couple, who are thinking about expanding their family over their one son, are exploring other options.
“I decided I could never get pregnant again,” she says. “We thought of a surrogate, but I think we’re stopping at this point.”
Until they make firm decisions, they just enjoy their time with their 1-year-old son.
‘Life is so much more beautiful,’ she says of becoming a mother. “He’s the most beautiful thing in my life.”
In January, Schumer posted a photo of her murdered stomach and revealed the toll it took on her, physically and emotionally.
‘I’m been in IVF for a week and I feel real and emotional. If there is one through and if you have advice or you do not share your experience with me, do so, they wrote. “My number is in my bio. We freeze my eggs and figure out what to do to give Gene a sister. ❤️ ”
