A significant number of retailers and fashion brands have changed their efforts to produce cloth face masks since the CDC recommended that all Americans should wear “face covers in public places where other measures of social distancing are difficult to maintain.” With the devastating shortage of N95 medical masks, it is critical that the public reserve what surgical masks remain for our front-line healthcare workers.

The guidelines also advise that “all persons two years of age and older use a cloth to cover their faces in public places and when they are near people who do not live in their home.”
