Good evening Bucknuts subscribers! A lot is happening with Ohio State soccer recruiting, so let’s get started! Of course, I will have much more throughout the night and tomorrow.
1) The Buckeyes want to sign two classes of tight ends from 2021. So far they have one in Sam Hart from Colorado yes or no adding another, they will seek to sign at least one 2022 tight end and possibly two. Towards that end, the Buckeyes have offered a scholarship to various tight ends of 2022, including Bennett Christian by Acworth (Ga.) Allatoona.
Christian and Ohio state offensive coordinator and tight end coach Kevin Wilson They have been building a relationship for about four months. Their conversations have included something that Ohio state personnel have put to great use: the so-called Zoom.
And with Wilson and Christian, their Zoom calls have included reviewing the movie. Wilson has reviewed the current Buckeye tight end movie Jeremy Ruckert and Luke Farrell with Christian so Christian can visualize how it would be used in the Ohio state offense.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Christian has a list of at least a dozen offerings that also includes Penn State, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Nebraska, Kentucky, Pitt, and Kansas.
Christian’s uncle Greg Christian was a defensive lineman for Penn State in the mid-1970s.
Christian is eager to visit the state of Ohio, though he doesn’t know when it will be due to the long period of death.
Christian has not been rated yet. A source who has seen Christian in person this summer told me that if Christian improves his speed a bit, he will be one of the best tight end prospects in the state of Georgia.
